Revisions in Property Tax Approved by the Haryana Cabinet

haryana-propertyChandigarh: The Haryana cabinet has approved the new property tax assessment pattern for urban areas. This will be implemented for areas urban Gurgaon, Panchkula and Faridabad. Owners having properties with smaller built up areas will benefit from this revision. Previously the property tax was determined based on the collector rates. The tax would shoot up with the increase in the collector rate annually. The newly approved pattern will keep tax calculations simple and straightforward. Owners can now independently assess the tax amount due instead of keeping track of the collector rates. In order to determine property tax rates more precisely, the Municipal Corporations have been divided into two major categories – Faridabad and Gurgaon properties will fall under A-1 whereas Panchkula, Panipat, Ambala, Rohtak, Yamunanagar and Hisar will come under the A-2 division. The property taxes levied for A-1 will be higher in comparison to that of A-2 cities.Self occupied residential houses belonging to defense personnel are eligible for a tax rebate up to 100%. The rebate shall also apply for plots of 1 acre which have been used for agricultural purposes. Religious edifices including temples, churches and mosques will not be levied any property tax. This will hold true only if the income generated is used for religious causes. The Haryana Cabinet gave a green signal to the revised patterns of property tax assessment based on the reports submitted by the committee formed under the Chairmanship of Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala (Minister of industries and commerce). The highlight of this revision is the rebate of 30% given to property owners who shall be clearing their arrears within 45 days of receiving notification for the same.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
