District Planning Committee meeting to be held on October 18

south-goaGoa: The South Goa District Planning Committee (DPC) has to submit a draft development plan for the by the end of the year. Hence the District planning committee has decided to hold a meeting on October 18 which will concentrate on the requirements of the draft district development plan for making it operational as soon as possible. The south zilla panchayat has not received any annual development plans from villages panchayats and municipal bodies from the state.The DPC have been working on the district development plan and it has not been able to hold any meetings regarding the draft development plan. The DPC has finally made its mind and will hold the meeting on the scheduled date to take stock of the requirements to create a draft development plan and make it operational.Many questions were raised against the DPC’s functioning which has failed to carry out planning process in the state. Nelly Rodrigues, chairperson of DPC said that South Goa MP and several other MLAs from the district have been invited for the proposed meeting to know their suggestions and views on how to make the DPC function properly in the state.The DPC was reconstituted last year, but has failed to hold a single meeting since then. The upcoming meeting on October 18 will change the facts about the DPC’s functioning in the South Goa. Under the section 239 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 it is mandatory that the Government should constitute DPCs in the state to prepare a draft development plan by considering the development plans from the village panchayats and municipal bodies.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
