You have only two days left to register yourself with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) otherwise you will lose the chance of obtaining the approval for new construction projects from September 1. The registration had been going on from August 1 and a month period has been given to the builders to get registered, however only 72 out of around a thousand builders have registered. The civic body has decided not to allow any builder to get the approval for new projects from Sep 1 if found unregistered.The rule came in light after many buildings and walls have been collapsed in the month of June. The corporation has no method to account the builders responsible in the construction of poor quality structures. Only structural auditors and architects are generally registered with the body. If the builders will be registered, PMC could clutch the particular builder involved in the making of disaster-prone structures.The registration is only needed once regardless of the number of projects. In case the builder is found to be involved in unethical practices, the on-going construction will be stopped under PMC limits.
