Pune: The civic administration presented a proposal to reduce the number of housing units to be constructed under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) housing scheme. Pimpri Chinchwad mayor Malini Lande put this proposal on hold on Monday due to the demand of corporators for raising this matter in the general body meeting for the vote.Under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), the municipal corporation had promised construction of about 13,250 housing units. The civic administration proposed that the number of total housing units should be reduced to 7,854 houses as they will be able to construct only half of the total promised housing units. The civic administration cleared in a general body meeting that it can construct only 1134 houses at Charholi and Dudulgaon along with 6720 units at sector 17 and 19 in Chikhali. The constriction of 5396 houses will not be completed by the JNNURM scheme’s term expiry date in March 2014. The reduction of the number of housing units needs to be get approved from the central government hence revised project report must be submitted to the central government, but before that the proposal must be accepted in the PCMC general body meeting. Corporators from various parties demanded that the civic body should acquire the land reserved for EWS housing scheme and seek for the extension of the final date instead of reducing the number. The civic body should construct all the houses and voting must be taken for the approval of the proposal. They also suggested that an all-party meeting should be held to find the solution to the issue before going further with submitting a proposal in the general body meeting.Shrihar Pardeshi, municipal commissioner said that the civic body will also have to seek the approval of the state government for the 2.5 floor space index (FSI) for the construction of this project under Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA).займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
