Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched a new service for the calculation of property tax online on the official website of the corporation. The BMC has recently uploaded the online calculator on the online portal which will help citizens to calculate property taxes. The calculator system uses the right formula and ready-reckoner rates defined by the corporation to calculate property taxes.The new property tax system assesses the property taxes based on the capital value, whereas earlier it was calculated using the rateable value system. The new calculator launched by the corporation uses capital values while calculating the property tax for any property. The BMC switched to the capital value based property tax system in which property tax is calculated depending on the present market value of the property.Rajiv Jalota, additional municipal commissioner said that any person can verify facts with calculations made online and check if they are correct. The BMC issued property tax bill in the last month which has details of the carpet area, age and type of property. If any mistakes or problems are noticed then you can call up the ward office and mistakes will be rectified immediately.The property tax calculator uses various parameters while calculating property tax. These parameters include name of ward, zone, sub-zone, nature and type of property, age of property, FSI, category of property, sub-category, date of effect, floor, floor sub-type, metered or unmetered, and carpet area, etc.The BMC also planning to create an online system for the payment of property taxes which will reduce time taken to collect property taxes through conventional system.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
