Bank of India buys Office Space for Rs. 125 Crore in Connaught Place

BOI-office-spaceNew Delhi:  Bank of India acquires 36,000 sq ft area of office space is one of the upmarket locations in Delhi through a bidding process. According to the sources, the Bank has acquired this office space from Standard Chartered Bank for about Rs. 125 crore.Among various other public sector banks and top financial bodies, Bank of India’s bid was the highest.  The bid process was handled by Jones Lang LaSalle. The property was initially taken by Standard Chartered Bank, long ago on a perpetual lease. When the Bank decided to sell the property, it converted the office space into a freehold property to increase its value. Standard Chartered Bank has not yet commented on the deal taken place.The commercial property is present in Connaught Place which is one of the hottest business destinations in India. According to a survey, the location is ranked as the 5th most expensive commercial zone in the world.  The area has beaten prime commercial localities of Mumbai like Bandra Kurla Complex which is ranked 11th and Nariman Point ranked 26th. The property is present is H Block of Connaught Place.
