10,000 Affordable Homes to be Allocated to the Slum Residents of Delhi

affordable-housing-projectWith an aim to make the national capital free from slum areas, Delhi government has planned to come up with 10,000 low cost homes for the underprivileged residents. The plan was discussed in the Cabinet meeting under the supervision of our honorable Chief Minister.The cabinet decided to distribute the flats to the urban poor under Rajiv Ratna Awas Yojana Scheme. The Union Government has permitted to construct 68,000 affordable housing units, out of which 50,000 are all set. According to the Chief Minister, the city government is intending to provide low-cost housing to the economical weaker section and have completed construction of 15,000 flats. Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has built these flats in Bawana, Narela and Bhorgah localities. Union Urban Development Ministry under the JNNURM scheme provided funding for this project.Residents who are living in these slum areas before 31st March 2007 are eligible to acquire the low-cost flats. More than 1.80 lakh applications have been received for the affordable flats under Rajiv Ratna Awas Yojana.The flats are projected to be priced around Rs. 3.34 lakh, out of which the government of Delhi would allocate Rs. 62,000 while Union government would provide Rs. 1.19 lakh. The land owning group would share Rs. 93,000 and the contribution of the receiver is decided to be around Rs. 60,000. The government has also declared that residents belonging to SC community would get the housing units for free.In order to make sure that the flats are allotted to the right person and for the fair allotment process, the Chief Minister said that Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board would verify the details and information of the citizens.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
