Nagpur: In hundred days of current fiscal, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has collected Rs 500 crore property tax from its residents. The figure is not just overwhelming but also 80 percent of the yearly collection. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) acquires some highly needed inspiration from PMC as it is falling weak in the collection of property tax. For the first time in many years, NMC has appointed an evaluator committee to assess properties in the city. In the last fiscal, the tax collected was meager Rs 101 crore excluding arrears despite having 5.33 lakh properties. For the improvement of revenue, the government has launched capital based property tax system in the year 2010. NMC implemented the measure in the year 2010-11 but due to several reasons, the new system couldn’t be implemented in the current year also. Thus to understand the new method, a 17 member team has been deployed, who will also visit PMC to understand the property tax collection.PMC earns around Rs 700 crore from 7.35 lakh properties per annum. For NMC it’s such a huge inspiration. The ready reckoner rate chart that PMC is using is also updated one, however NMC haven’t updated it since 1998. NMC is currently in the planning phase of reassessment. If the task goes accordingly, improvement in property tax revenue is expected.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
