Hyderabad: K Raheja Corporation has plans to expand its retail entity Inorbit Malls in Southern India owing to the low cost real estate market factor. The southern Indian real estate market stands low as compared to the other parts of the country.The corporation is trying to cash on the low cost realty in southern India and has penned down the plans of expansion in southern India. The company currently operates five hypermarkets across the country in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad. Apart from expansions in Bangalore and Hyderabad, company is planning to enter into cities like Chennai, Vizag and Coimbatore.Kishore Bhatija, Managing Director of K Raheja Corporation said, “We have observed highest growth at our Bangalore hypermarket which was about 24 per cent compared to other operational malls across the country.”He also added each new mall would cost Rs 300-500 crore depending on the location of the mall. The company would collect funds for expansion from the parent company, internal accruals and will also partially depend on Banks and financial institutes.Under the new expansion plan, the company will develop and operate a mall every year. The company has 5 operational malls across the country and operations of the sixth Inorbit mall in India will take off from the next month at Vadodara in the state of Gujarat.With positive responses from Hyderabad, the company is looking forward to the inauguration of one more mall in the city spread over 10 acres of land at Pocharam.
