Eminent B-schools like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Indore and Indian School of Business have introduced specialized courses on real estate and infrastructure management in a move to produce strong workforce who will understand the challenges of working in a heavy weight real estate project. As these B-schools are one of the best in India, the students emerging as professionals are fully equipped with knowledge and enough practical experience to handle a project. Many builders and construction companies have visited these colleges for hiring these students.A teacher at IIM Bangalore has said that the demand for courses like infrastructure management is high. The subject has already started for the 2014 batch with around 75 students. It all started when IIM-B worked in few of the projects with the Government of Karnataka and noticed that talent is lacked to work in the large scale projects.As the slowdown fell upon the real estate companies, it is highly important that more planning and research is carried out such that cash flow should not be disturbed. The B-schools are also working on research papers on bringing the costs down.Companies like Lodha Group, Reliance Infra, Brigade Group and Supertech employs students from management institutes to run the business efficiently.
