Nasik: With every industry getting digitized, even the real estate sector has entered the league of digitalization. The digitization system which would be used to record the properties would help to disclose the number of registered as well as unregistered properties in a particular city. To curb the number of irregularities, Nasik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has currently integrated the digitized system. It had already initiated computerization of records.The digitized system was commenced by NMC this year and so far it has recorded almost 3.25 lakh properties and has also recorded an addition of 18,000 new properties. According to the official the remaining properties will be digitized soon.According to the officials, the digitized system may help to cut down the number of unregistered properties and accordingly would record the exact number of properties in the city. Along with recording the properties, digitization will also aid to make the tax recovery system more effectual and raise the revenue through property tax. NMC have installed approximately 5 lakh set top boxes in Nasik.Since new projects are coming up in the city every now and then, the digitization system for the entire city’s properties would take some time.NMC is also undertaking digitization of service books of all employees of the municipal.
