New Delhi: Tough regulatory bill provisions like jail term for developer on misleading the customers by fake advertisement about project is put on hold by the Union Cabinet. They have deferred the decision regarding real estate regulator with rigorous punishment.According to the sources, due to the absence of some important ministers, the decision regarding the hike of Dearness Allowance (DA) of Central Government employees was prolonged to the next meeting. The DA is expected to be raised from 72% to 80%. Along with the hike, the verdict regarding the consumer-friendly legislation (regulatory bill provisions) were also deferred.The proposed real estate regulator has powerful provisions that would work in favor of the consumers. The regulation and the Development Bill have strong provisions which included severe punishment to builders for their fraudulent behaviour by putting delude advertisements. The bill also mentioned that the builders can launch their projects only after get all the statutory clearances. The developers have to present all the details regarding their projects before starting the construction and they have to put those details on the regulator’s website too for the convenience of the costumers. It is mandatory to reveal all the details regarding the project. The images or the photos which the developers use for advertising their project should be of the actual site and not any forged images of other country projects.
