Guwahati Planning to Expand Vertically

GuwahatiGuwahati being a major centre of education and commercial hub in North-east India, most of the populace flock to this city in search of job and educational facilities. Therefore to cater the accommodation needs of the increasing population, the city is planning for vertical expansion. Since the city has limited area for expansion, real estate builders are focusing on construction of highrises.According to a survey, as per the census, the population of Guwahati is approximately 11 lakh whereas the actual population of the city is almost 17 lakh. To beat the problem of congestion, it is necessary that the State Government allows the real estate developers to grow more vertically. Currently the State Government is permitting to construct 10 to 12 floor buildings in Guwahati. On the basis of the rising inhabitants, if the government allows the realty builders to build 20 floors building then proper accommodation could be provided to the ever-increasing population. Most of real estate builders of Guwahati are targeting areas like NH-37, VIP Road, and localities in proximity of LGBI Airport for developing new projects.According to the Assam Real Estate and Infrastructure Developer’s Association (AREIDA), the demand for housing units is escalating rapidly but the areas are not expanding. In Guwahati space is the biggest constraint which restricts the scope of expansion. The western part of the city, around the airport is the only area where real estate development can take place. The southern and the northern parts of the city are hilly areas of Meghalaya and Brahmaputra whereas the eastern parts are sheltered with tribal belts and blocks therefore expansions in these parts are almost impossible.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
