MCHI-CREDAI Supports consumers; Property Tax Bill Flawed

tax-flawedMumbai: About 30,000 out of 2.7 lakh property bills issued by BMC since February are flawed. The consumers said that the municipality corporation hadn’t carried fresh survey of properties before switching to capital value based system (based on market value) from rateable value (based on rent a property can get). This careless decision has forced the citizens to suffer with the incorrect tax.Protecting its core, the BMC replied that they thought it would be time consuming and expensive to carry out new survey and hence the new system is applied without any scrutiny of properties and this is the point they ruined the calculation. Even if the new method of calculating property tax was better than the previous one, the bill got flawed because of BMC’s small mistakes. The President of MCHI-CREDAI has said that the outrage of people is completely obvious because they are already burdened with stamp duty, VAT etc and with faulty increased tax amount, people are in big trouble. Thousands of housing societies, NGO’s are protesting in rallies and planning for a one-day hunger strike against the tax and MCHI CREDAI backs the consumers supporting the cause. The civic body however is dealing with overflowing complaints said that the incorrectness in the area and other issues that produced errors will be sorted out by taking spot surveys shortly.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
