DDA Plans to Build Homes for Poor Every Year

Delhi-slumNew Delhi: Around 40 lakh people in the capital city of India live in illegal colonies that have increased the number of slum huddles in Delhi. The economically weaker sections are either homeless or living in unauthorized colonies. Approximately 917 illegal residential colonies have been legalized by the government this financial year. Therefore to surmount the further increment in the slum clusters, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is planning to build 1 lakh affordable homes every year for the poor section. Kamal Nath, Urban Development Minister discussed this initiative at a Consultative Committee Meeting.The Minister said that Delhi Master Plan 2021 is a powerful document and there should be a periodic review of it. As Delhi shares its borders with other states, it cannot be expanded towards the border. The city is expected to grow vertically; therefore land use pattern is very essential.The meeting held by the Urban Development Ministry also discussed points that were related to the development of some important areas particularly revenue earning locations.The Delhi Development Authority is also planning to build marriage halls for the economically weaker sections and give it on rent.To cut down the number of increasing urban slums, the statement presented by DDA also suggested constructing barracks and hutments for the labors who have migrated to the national capital.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
