Pune: Pleasant news of relief for the builders, the PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) is going to give clearances for the projects faster this year. The developers seeking the clearances of their building plan will now get it quicker than usual.Last year the building permission department had generated Rs 384.54 crore by approving 1,872 building plans and this year with the quickening of the clearance obtaining procedure (as planned), doubling up of the revenue is expected i.e. Rs 699 crore with approving about 4,000 proposals.The municipal commissioner has said that they had been using Automatic Development Control Rules (AutoDCR) to scrutinize the plans but not the body is planning to introduce a Visa system that will speed up the process. Generally the officials approve the plans that falls under the geographical area of the authority but with Visa system the boundaries would be broken and the department will be able to approve the proposal from any part of the city. This would help in avoiding the delays and speeding up is a sure point.With the advent of technology and online applications, paper work and repetitiveness of the procedure is reduced hence the time is saved and utilized in further tasks. This sums up in delivering the clearances to the building plans at a faster pace.
