Mumbai: Where every year around four lakh applicants request for the copies of registration at the sub registrar offices, the property registration department is going to make the process of obtaining the documents a lot easier. Free downloading of the documents will be now available on the official website of department of registration and stamps such that the users don’t have to wait for getting hard copies which usually takes huge amount of time.The first of its kind service in the country is going to be launched in Mumbai. The property registration documents that are under the Mumbai municipal jurisdiction are scanned and available on the web for download. These docs will also deliver the ownership details between January 2002 and December 2011. The properties registered in and after 2012 will come under different scheme called iSarita, a software developed for the IGR (inspector general of registration) office. The data is in the process of synchronization and users can get the registration documents of the properties that had been registered 2002 onwards.After a short period, this service will be also introduced in Navi Mumbai and Pune.The service will be available at: http://164.100.112.103/testingeSearch/wfsearch.aspxThis innovative step will be helpful in reducing the burden on the employees of the sub registrar office too, since they have to take extra time from their clocks to do this documentation work. But now as everything will go online and with the use of high end technology, things will become easy and precised.
