The lovely Tamhini Ghat is quite a popular destination for nature lovers during monsoon but very few people know about the Varandha Ghat. It is another section of panoramic Sahyadry mountain ranges near Pune. If you live in Pune you are never lack of destination choices from religious to entertainment centres to natural getaways. Varandha Ghat is a place full of abundant beauty of nature. Whatever you can think of it will be more than that. You must be wondering why I am talking so? Because in whatever direction you see there is no end point of these everlasting enchanting natural sceneries. the mother Earth over powers you here and engages you all the time. it can be quite dangerous for you drive on the road at Varandha Ghat section as the views at both the sides are exceptionally striking. So be careful. The green carpeted multiple hills with different heights make the scene quite interesting along with the white sleek waterfalls at numerous places dripping with their full enthusiasm to prove their existence in this heavenly abode. Words are not sufficient to explain the beauty of the place. These panoramic views are available for public view from the road itself as you do not need to get further to steal the charming nature. If you take your sight down a bit you could see the thick woods and at some point the river line flowing like a snake. The upper section of most of the hills seems taking bath in the foggy clouds. The entire observation is extremely absorbing. Switch off the ACs of your cars before entering the Varandha Ghat section as the fresh air you can enjoy here is scarce anywhere in the city. The waterfalls that looks sleek from a distance become huge with plenty of water dropping in a loud sound. Some of the waterfalls are so big that it won’t be too much if they are named properly. There is no shortage of falls on either side of the road as with every turn you make on the road a new and differently sized waterfall welcomes you with full zest. There are dozens of them so it is difficult to choose the best one to get wet under it. The main difference between Tamhini and Varandha is that in Tamhini most of the water falls are beyond your sight because they are hidden in the thick forest and some which are visible can’t be reached out. So your enjoyment at Varandha doubles as you get to indulge in nature completely and more closely than before. So what are you waiting for? Just plan a quick trip to this outstanding natural heaven. Here are some tips that you must follow in order to make your trip a pleasant one:
