The Blackbucks are graceful Indian antelopes while the Nilgai is the India’s largest antelope. Nilgai are also known as Blue bull. Chinkara is an elegant Indian gazelle seen here. These mammals are in good numbers at the bets. The endangered Indian wolf is also seen here. Small carnivores are found in this desrt land. If you talk about small animals and reptiles then you can get the chance to see Hares, Gerbils, hedgehogs, Spiny Tailed Lizards, Red & Common Sand Boa, Saw – scaled Viper, Cobra, Field Mice, Indian rat snake, etc. Many Desert dwelling reptiles are found here in the Little Runn of Kutch.This place is a real paradise for bird watchers because of its lake though it is small but good to attract birds. It also has extensive field area that gives you good chances to sight a variety of avian species. Birds found here are : Grey and pond Herons, Egrets, Pied Kingfishers, White breasted Kingfishers, Spoonbill, Comb duck (Nakta), Saras (Cranes), etc. can be seen at the lake.
