Kochi: Manappat Group, based in Muscat, is set to invest a whopping amount of Rs. 1,250 crore for property development and IT Park in Kerala. This company is planning for a private IT Park near Kozhikode airport, which is a prime commercial as well as a residential complex in Perumbavoor, Kochi.This IT Park, also known as ‘Manappat Knowledge Park’, will be developed in 35 acres of land. The first phase of this project has a total built up space of 800,000 sq ft. This project is expected to generate around 1,500 direct jobs. Manappat Group is planning to set up a mixed-use commercial and retail project in Perumbavoor. This project will be allotted with a total land area of 4.26 acres. The plan will be to develop 250,000 sq ft of built up area. This plan will include facilities like commercial space, office space, residential apartments, food court, multiplex, etc. The construction of this project will commence by the year end and its first phase is expected to be completed by August 2014.Manappat Group is also planning to develop a healthcare project in Pookattupady, Kochi. Manappat is a Muscat-based business group that boasts of owning engineering, trading, human resources, food and hospitality industries.
