Ahmedabad: To promote excellence in real estate studies, The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) will set up an institute for realty based professional courses. This institute will be set up in Ahmedabad and is expected to be fully functional by 2014. The CREDAI Institute of Real Estate Research and Professional Studies will be set up near the Kensville Golf and Country Club in Ahmedabad. It will be the neighbor to the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology (iCreate).The land for setting up the institute has been donated by the Vice President of CREDAI, Mr. Jaxay Shah. The cause has also been funded by reputed entrepreneurs. The CREDAI institutes will have tie-ups with other real estate course based institutes as well. Apart from this special scholarships have been announced by CREDAI to support the higher studies of needy students. The scholarship will be meted out to students who are pursuing post graduation in civil engineering, management degrees or courses related to the realty domain. Students who are presently pursuing their post graduation from colleges recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), coming from low-income backgrounds, are eligible for this scholarship.CREDAI, which is the apex real estate body of India, has been working towards diversifying the scope of real estates.
