Chennai: Paying property taxes has never been this easy! The Chennai Municipal Corporation has taken initiatives to assist faster payment of property taxes. 146 branches of various banks in Chennai have given their consent for the walk-in payment facility. Tax payers can pay their tax dues via cash, cheque or DD. This facility will soon be launched across all other major banks of Chennai. Presently the City Union Bank (CUB), Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) and Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) will be first amongst the others to commence this service. This facility was initially proposed to be launched on the 15th of June. But due some technical hindrances, implementation of this plan was postponed to a later date.
