- Use less water in your daily activities like bathing, cleaning, washing, shaving, etc. clean water is a very precious and not using it carefully can miss the purpose of conserving water. We all can manage in less water so why should we use so much. Think about those who do not have clean water to even drink.
- Use dual flush or low flush system in your toilets to save gallons of water being wasted. You use 7 gallons of water with every full flush while just 1.6 gallons of water with a small flush. Think about it.
- It is a good practice to turnoff the tap when we brush our teeth or shave even though you know that you do it very fast but still it is not that hard to turn on a tap again. Save water by turning it off in the mean time.
- In all modern homes you will find showers. It is better to use a low flow shower head and do not forget to turn it off while lathering scalp or body as during this time the water from shower get wasted. If you make a habit of turning it off at this time you can save gallons of water in a month. In traditional Indian homes people still use bucket and mug to bath and that is more water saving way than the modern shower. If you are still rooted to your culture then think of using bucket to take bath.
