Pune: The head of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and district guardian minister recently said that the newly established PMRDA is all set to come up with development plan for Pune Metropolitan Region till next year. There are nearly 400 villages, covering 3535 sq km of area around Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad that falls under PMRDA. This development authority has officially started operating from 1st of May and hopes to take care of development in the respective areas.According to the PMRDA head, the authority will make sure that planned construction activity is carried out in the whole region. The task of preparing the development plan is handed over to the top priority. The PMRDA will form a separate committee comprising 25 experts from different departments which includes town planning and revenue department. As per the sources, the committee will be formed as soon as possible.The minister further added saying that the proposal will be sent to the state government to increase the control of PMRDA. Changes have to be made in the existing areas that fall under PMRDA. Some more areas will be added under PMRDA.The authority will instantly analyze the expansion of PMRDA regions.
