After a line of complaints regarding the commercial business taking place on residential properties, the urban local bodies division has asked the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to scrutinize approval of the building plans. As per the officials, the number of roads which are officially declared as commercial zones in MCG areas are very limited.The officials further said that in respect to the complaints, the urban local bodies department has asked them to check the approval process for the building plan of commercial properties in MCG areas and has also asked to prepare the list of commercial enterprises that are set up in these areas. If the officials find that any plot owner is using or have allotted the residential property for commercial use then serious legal action will be taken against him.One of the officials said that a division of councilors are asking the municipal corporation to declare all the key roads in the MCG areas to turn into commercials which will in turn help MCG to earn more revenue. The official also said that they are not keen about expanding the commercial zones in MCG areas as this will result in traffic congestion and also create a lot of parking problems.
