After the increase in the allotment rates, the stamp and registry department officials of Uttar Pradesh said that there would be escalation in circle rates by 17 to 20%.The department’s Assistant Inspector General (AIG) further added that they are looking for 17-20% hike in circle rates; however they still need to determine whether the new rate will be applicable immediately or from the new fiscal year, starting from 1st of April.According to the reports presented by the media, the hike is expected to come into effect immediately but as per the AIG they did not receive any statement from the Noida Authority. And also it was confirmed that after the hike in the circle rate, the mid-term circle rate increase which take place in August will not take place.The department is expecting to receive the allotment rates from the Authority within a couple of days and the matter will be discussed by the new DM.In Noida there are total 5 types of residential sectors and the plot rates for these will be priced between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 86,000 per sq m.According to the sources, regarding the raise in the circle rates, mixed reaction was seen from the real estate developers. The commercial rates are observed to be impractical and more than market rates.
