The district administration of Hyderabad has decided to upload the details of government land situated in 16 mandals on its official website. The new initiative will help the citizens to get information about the land such as its location, survey number, land image, size of land and town survey land record (TSLR) before making any investment.According to the sources, Hyderabad can become, Telangana’s first district to provide government land details through an official portal that will beneficial for citizens as well as official use.As per the existing system, the prospective land investors were unable to get all the details and would waste much time behind this process. However, with the new online system, the citizens can get accurate details about the land before they make any land transaction.According to the details provided by the Hyderabad collectorate, about 66-acre litigation-free government land is vacant in 16 mandals.After the details are uploaded on the official portal, the prospective investors can check the land details and then proceed with the transaction. This initiative will help to curb down the disputes between government and private land which took place, majorly due to lack of information available.According to the sources, the land parcel details will be put up on the website within 3 weeks time. The district administration has provided tabs to the Tahsildars of all the 16 mandals and has trained them.
