Delhi/NCR: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is geared up to get approval from the government of Uttar Pradesh for the Phase 2 of Master Plan 2031. Once the development authority gets the nod, it will start off with the development process of four new hi-tech township projects. These townships will be constructed nearby to the cities of Aligarh, Mathura, Agra and Hathras.The total area which will be developed under this master plan 2031 is more than 2 lakh hectares out of which the four projects will be constructed in the smart cities on around 30,000 hectares of land. YEIDA board has proclaimed this region as urban area.Since the area does not come under the jurisdiction like the first phase, the second phase will not require any permission from the NCR Planning Board. According to the sources, the second phase in theMaster Plan is more than double of the area of Phase I. 2000 acres of land is dedicated to green spaces, in addition to housing, industrial, institutional and mixed-use development. As per the officials, recreational, green zones and corporate areas have also been set aside along the Yamuna Expressway.The CEO of the YEIDA said that they will start off with the development process as soon as they get the permission from the government. He further added saying that these smart cities aim to offer more welcoming living conditions to the dwellers.
