DDA Makes the Housing Scheme Website Disabled- friendly

DDANew Delhi:  Now even the disabled people can get benefited by the online DDA housing scheme as Delhi Development Authority have made the site disabled-friendly. Partially or completely visually challenged online visitors can access the portal effortlessly.  This exclusive feature was added to the website just few weeks after the scheme was initiated.The Director of Systems at the Development Authority said that he have made the website disabled-friendly in order to make the online process handy for the visually impaired people.  The visually challenged people can install the software which will read the instructions and text on the site at audible sound and visitors who have partial visual defect like color-blindness can select from the wide spectrum of colors offered by the website.He further clarified the site features by saying that at the top right-hand corner of the DDA housing scheme website there are five dual-color (first signifies background and second represents foreground) combinations. The color-blind people can chose any color combination which they find comfortable. This will make the site friendly and accessible.The development authority have till now received 3 million hits since the launch of the scheme and is now expecting get more traffic after adding this new feature.Due to heavy traffic, the site had crashed on the first day but it instantly increased its server to manage 100 mbps requirements. The urban body is planning to further strengthen its technical capacity to cope up with the increasing site traffic.  The development authority has also added a video tutorial for the online users.The last date of submitting the application is on October 9th.
