New Delhi: In order to seek better transparency and speed in property deals, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the first time has initiated an e-auction process for selling its various properties.The urban body said that, after the initiation, it had put total 35 parking spaces, 4 restaurants and 18 kiosks for auction through this online bidding process. Over 27 bids were received, 19 for parking and 8 for kiosks. The development authority said that, out of the 8 bids for parking, 6 bidders was successful while in case of parking sites, the 19 bids which were received are being processed.The development authority further said that the online auctioning has received good response as compared to the earlier attempts by DDA. The authority has been trying to auction its sites from past two years but failed to get good response, however e-auction is its new initiative where it is trying to auction the properties online.According to the Vice-president of Delhi Development Authority, the online auctioning process will be able to make the property transaction procedure much more transparent.
