Gurgaon: The State Government has decided to levy a ‘composition fee’ to legalize layout plans in the Gurgaon Municipal Corporation limit. The Gurgaon municipal corporation has been suffering from issues related to illegal constructions and violations in zooming regulations and building by laws. To compensate these issues the state government has decided to levy a composition fees for illegal construction in the Gurgaon city limits.Under the decision, the state government has decided to legalize changes in the original building layout plans with the payment of a composition fee. The officials said that the decision is meant for the property owners who carry out additional construction in the structure without any prior mandatory permission for legal authority.The legal authorities used to demolish such construction which is termed as the illegal constructions in the city, but from hereafter it will give out approval to such constructions under the proper scrutiny with a composition fee. Owners can now get the required sanctions from authorities by paying prescribed composition fees to the municipal corporation. The composition rate varies for residential properties and they will be charged according to the property type.The Urban Local Bodies department has already sent a letter to all municipal commissioners stating the decision regarding this proposal.
