Infosys to Set –up its IT Company in SEZ of Mohali

infosysThe IT Giant, Infosys is all set to launch its new office in the state of Punjab. The government of Punjab has provided 50 acres of land to this company which will be launching its project in the Mohali’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ).During the Punjab Investors Summit, the IT Company signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Punjab stating to initiate an IT/ SEZ project in Mohali with a budget of Rs. 500 crore.With the government’s aim to increase the IT investment within the state, Infosys showed positive response by declaring to set up a commercial project in Punjab.This IT firm already has its campus present in Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park which is spread across 30 acres of land. It is already earning a huge export turnover of Rs. 1400 crore from its Chandigarh branch and with its additional campus in Mohali, the company guarantees to boost up the IT investments in this region.Apart from this project, ITC will be launching its food and logistic project in this state with an investment of Rs. 680 crore. The project is expected to be set-up in Kapurthala. According to the sources, the project will be developed on 62 acres of land. Cargill India, an agro-processing firm is also all set to come up with a state-of-art, ultra-modern cattle feed company. The project will be set up in Bathinda.
