Acquiring affordable homes is still a tricky situation for the people in Virar as the Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA) which was eventually going to build 2450 affordable housing units have now decided to construct only 1500 homes in this area. According to sources, MHADA was going to sell 2450 homes through lottery process during December to February but now the number of units has been decreased by 950.MHADA’s Konkan branch would be responsible for selling the 1500 homes which are remaining. Since the housing body was not able to get necessary permissions for the construction of high-rise buildings from the local civic body, Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC), it had to modify its plan of erecting 22 and 24 floor buildings. With the help of the Commissioner’s discretionary authority the size of the building can be increased by 45 meters but the housing body needs an approval of 70 meters.According to a previous report, the dream of MHADA to build skyscraper in Virar was looked upon as a difficult task. The authorities of this housing body had put in all their efforts to acquire permissions form the government for the construction of high-rises; the Urban Development Department gave them even verbal assurance too.One of the MHADA official said that they have received verbal sanction but they are still waiting for written approval which will then be entrusted to VVMC. Till that time the housing body has decided to allocate as much as housing units possible through the lottery process. The number of homes to be allocated as well as the lottery date is yet to be finalized.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
