Infosys Purchases Essar’s IT Park in Bangalore

infosysBangalore: According to various sources, the Infosys technologies has invested around Rs. 115 crore and acquired Essar’s IT Park in Bangalore.The Equinox Tech Park of 300,000 sq ft developed by Equinox realty is present just few minutes away from the extensive Infosys Campus of Electronics City. The new Infosys office space has the capacity to accommodate at least 3,000 employees. In the December quarter of 2013, the deal was accomplished.According to a source, Infosys was looking for a commercial space that was very close to the Electronics City and as majority of employees traveled from South Bangalore, the firm felt that this was the finest site for property acquisition. Many of the national and international corporations are planning to spread out their offices. Bagmane IT Park, previous year went into a contract with Volvo India for work space worth Rs. 700 crore. Another recognized IT Park of Bangalore, RMZ Corp is in talks to sell office space of approximately 1,000 million sq ft to Honeywell Technologies for about Rs. 700 crore.Along with Infosys, Wipro and TCS are counted among the top five commercial space owners in India. Infosys Company, last year has built-up set of office space of 32 million sq ft while the other space of 13 million sq ft is under construction. The company owns around 400 acres of land in the IT corridor of Sarjapur Road in Bangalore.
