Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) to Come up With Homes for LIGs and Economically Weaker Sections

SMCThe Standing Committee of SMC has sanctioned the tenders for the development of affordable homes for Lower Income Groups (LIGs) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs). The city of Surat would implement the Chief Minister’s Aavas Yogna by developing homes for LIG and EWS. It will be the first city in Gujarat State to come up with such a scheme. The civic body will be investing Rs. 185 crore for the construction of the residences for these two groups.In the first phase of the Aavas Yogna scheme, homes will be developed in zones like Katargam, Athwa and Rander while in the second phase remaining dwelling units will be constructed in other zones of the city which would be worth Rs. 200 crore.The Municipal Corporation had put forth the proposal of developing homes for LIG and EWS worth Rs. 400 crore. Out of this, only a part of the proposal was kept in front of the Standing Committee for the development of Lower Income Group homes worth Rs. 149.31 crore and Economically Weaker Section houses costing around Rs 35.72 crore. In total, SMC would be coming up with 1723 homes for citizens of these sections of societies.The Chairman of the Standing Committee said that Surat is all set to make the city a zero slum location and with respect to this, the municipal corporation has initiated the process of the Chief Minister’s scheme to provide housing to every resident of the city.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
