Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is planning to incur double property tax from the owners of unauthorized constructions. PCMC has decided to take this initiative with respect to the notice presented by the state government to allow collection of additional property tax from the illegal building owners. The civic will be very soon starting with issuing of tax bills for 2012-13 and for 2013-14.The tax collection department of PCMC has prepared a list of around 43,300 illegal constructions to which the new tax bill will be issued. The Municipal Corporation has all the rights to permit such an obligation.The assistant commissioner of PCMC who heads the tax collection department said that the state government has given orders to the civic body regarding this move on 22nd November. According to the directives of the state government, the owners of the unauthorized constructions are liable to pay the double property tax amount, until and unless the building gets regularized.The standing committee and the general body had declined the proposal of the civic administration for collecting additional property tax in November 2010. However, later the decision was canceled by the state government and it directed PCMC to collect the additional tax amount as per the terms in the municipal rules.The civic body intends to collect around Rs. 317 crore from the property tax, in addition of Rs. 87 crore from the unauthorized construction owners. PCMC is currently conducting a survey in which, apart from checking whether the property owners are paying tax, they are also verifying if the drainage line of the homes are connected to the underground drainage system.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
