Developers of High-Rise in Gurgaon Demanded to Present Report on Safety Measures

GurgaonThe rising number of building destructions caused due to the negligence of safety measures has tormented the real estate sector. Therefore to take suitable action against the disaster, Gurgaon district of Haryana has asked all the developers of the high-rise buildings and harmful industries to submit a report regarding the safety measures to the district authority, within the time period of two months.The Deputy Commissioner in the review meeting on the awareness of disaster Management in Gurgaon said that the building owners will have to present a compliance report, in two months to the district revenue officer that state the safety measures that has been adopted as per the principles of the state government issued from time to time on their location. The Deputy Commissioner further added that if the owners fail to submit the report, they will be penalized.The officials of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Municipal Corporation Gurgaon (MCG) and District Town Planner (DTP) have been asked to submit the list of high-rise towers within the region. A survey will be conducted by the authorities to list down the number of high-rises and hazardous industries. The authorities will also have to present map major and alternative routes to the buildings so that in case of any accident or any unforeseen situation, this route can be used to evacuate the place.Socio-auditing of the buildings to verify whether safety measures have taken or not, will also be conducted by a team of officials.
