This Ripley’s’ Building is one of a chain of museums of Ripley’s founded by Robert Ripley. You may get startled, when you see the building for the first time which is apparently cracked and split into half. You may perhaps think that the condition of the building is a result of some disaster but no, in fact it is an outcome of pure creativity and artistry. The building cracks signify that it has just survived from a major earthquake. The matchless construction was completed by 2003 and has become of the major tourist attractions in Missouri. The unusual and one of its kind architecture has made Ripley’s building, one of the most clicked buildings in the world. Every person who visits this place surely takes a photograph of this unique structure.Thought behind the construction design:The building design symbolizes the disastrous earthquake which happened in Missouri in 1812. The destructive earthquake which occurred at New Madrid, Missouri measured 8.0 on Richter scale. The natural calamity was so massive that it made the Mississippi River run backwards and also the church bells of Philadelphia started ringing. The architect wanted to replicate the odd event which took place decades back and hence came up with a structure that looks affected by earthquake.Inside the building:The building, how bizarre and exceptional looks from outside is similarly outstanding and unique from inside too.
