Singapore: The richest family in the Southeast of Asia is venturing into the real estate of Indian with plans to develop million dollar homes. The Jumabhoys are said to be the wealthiest non-Chinese family in the South of Asia. The Jumabhoys have established a realty firm named ‘Raffles Residency Pvt. Ltd.’ for developing high end villas in the Garden city of India. Southeast Asia’s wealthiest family shall be launching a residential project worth Rs. 350 crore in Whitefield Bangalore. This opulent project named ‘Raffles Park’ sprawls over 15-acres of land consisting of 61 luxurious villas with state-of-the-art amenities. To give this project a unique touch Singapore’s prominent architect WOW and India’s renowned eco-specialist architect Karan Grover have been roped in. The project is expected to reach completion by 2015.In a recent meeting the joint promoter of Raffles Residency Pvt. Ltd, Asad Jumabhoy, has expressed his thoughts saying that the Indian real estate holds great potential with respect to growth. Despite of the economic set back, Bangalore realty still attracts domestic property seekers and international investors on a very large scale. In the last few years there has been a considerable upsurge in the real estate of Bangalore owing to the ever increasing demand of the resident and non-resident population of the city.The third generation of Jumabhoys are making a comeback after they departed from India in the early 1900’s for establishing business in Singapore.
