Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation had decided to acquire the 113 hectares land at Sayane in Malegaon Tehsil. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has allotted this land to set up an industrial area at Sayane. The MIDC stated that the process to acquire this allotted land pf 133 hectares has been started and speeded up to complete all acquisition by the year end.The process of creating agreement and getting them signed from the project-affected farmers is already in its final stages and will be complete within a week or two. More than half of the farmers have signed the agreements and remaining signs will be taken in a maximum two weeks time.Once the agreement process gets completed, the authority will send the proposal to the state government for getting the approval. The farmer whose land has been acquired in the process will get compensation at the rate of Rs 15 lakh per acre land. Vilas Patil recently held a meeting with affected farmers where he announced compensation for the acquired lands.The total 85 farmers have been affected by this land acquisition process at Sayane in Malegaon tehsil out of these total 40 farmers have signed the agreement for the land acquisition. The officials announced that the remaining farmers will also sign the agreement within two weeks period.The MIDC has announced requirement of around 5000 hectares land for the Industrial sector which will be situated at various location in the Nashik District. The land acquisition for these projects is also in the process with different stages of acquisition. Currently Nashik district has two industrial estates which are fully occupied one at Satpur and other at Ambad.
