hyderabad-digitizationHyderabad: Hyderabad has already pioneered in making their land records available in tablets, a device more popularly known as tabs. Now the Hyderabad government is going to convert all land records into digital form.Hyderabad is the going to be the torch bearer for the country in making all governance processes digital. The Andhra Pradesh CREDAI President, C Shekar Reddy said that the property registration process will also be made digital and from birth to death every government related process of a person ‘s life will soon become digitized in Hyderabad.Tabs have been provided to 16 tehsildars of different mandals of Hyderabad. The tehsildars are supposed to use the modern devices to update land records as well as take pictures of the spot and send them to the central server. The tabs are equipped with specially customized applications that the tehsildars can use to feed the land details such as ownership details and the current status of usage. All the information will be collected from the server by the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) office and the District Collectorate.The digitized details are supposed to prevent fraud when it comes to land transaction. It will also provide details required during any litigation. It will benefit the consumer as well as the government in numerous ways. The collector of Hyderabad, Mukesh Kumar Meena said that the digitization of land record will give the government a fresh chance to assess the level of land utilization. This is important because in many cases where land has been allotted by the government for public purpose, the land has remained unutilized for years.
