Nashik: Property tax collection in Nashik for this fiscal year would start after the digitization of property records by the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) which is expected to get completed by the end of this month.Around 3.50 lakh properties have been digitized including computerization of various records. The digitization process verifies the records and checks for the actual existence of the properties. Due to the digitization process, the property tax collection has been delayed in Nashik for this financial year. The digitization of the property records started during this financial year and is likely to get completed by the end of this month.According to an NMC official, out of the total 6 divisions in Nashik, west division has completed verifying the properties and digitizing them while the process is still going on in remaining 5 divisions and are expected to get completed within this month. The tax collection system will get normalized by next month and NMC can start collecting taxes. The official further added that the NMC has started digitizing the properties in order to make the system more effective and transparent. The digitization process will make the tax recovery system more effectual and will help to increase revenue of NMC by the collection of property tax.NMC is planning to add water and house tax departments. As both the taxes can be collected by same person, this addition would allow better management of tax collection with the available workforce. As per the Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949, instead of once a year, NMC from this financial year will be issuing half yearly property tax bills and defaulters will be fined 2% of the total property tax bill amount.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
