Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) issue notices to almost 105 beneficiaries of the housing scheme for economically weaker section of the society at Akota. This action was taken with respect to the breach of conditions of the allocation of houses to them. The Municipal Corporation took this step after noticing that the residences were utilized by other persons rather than beneficiaries. These homes were specially developed for the urban poor under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. VMC became cautious after the misuse situation came into picture. The Municipal Corporation received complaints from the elected representative. It also got verbal and written objections from few of the residents who reside in these housing societies.Last year in September, the civic body formed teams who were assigned to conduct random checks of these housing units and note down the irregularities. The groups were unable to notice such large-scale indiscretions. The civic body decided to take the action only after they received complaints from respective sources. The civic body then finally conducted a survey to check the irregularities. Till now the VMC has checked around 650 housing units that come under the affordable housing scheme in Akota and out of it 105 houses were tracked which were either left on rent by the beneficiaries or were occupied by someone else.According to the officials, the survey has also been carried out in Tandalja area of the city. Other housing schemes would also be surveyed in timely manner.According to the housing scheme rules, the houses for the urban poor beneficiaries are given on a 29-year lease period. These residences cannot be given on rent or handed over to others else than beneficiaries. On the basis of the policy stated by the state government, once the lease expires, it can be either be renewed or handed over to the family or the relatives of the beneficiaries.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
