Work on Goa Skybus to resume with Government Approval

goa-skybusThe Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) received a green signal from the central government for its dream project Skybus in Goa. Earlier, the project was halted in 2004 following the accident that occurred during the test run. KRCL had spent about Rs 50 crore on the Skybus project when it was first launched in Goa.The Goa government was planning to shift focus on the new monorail project instead of Skybus since Central Government’s clearance was the main hurdle in the project’s re-launch. Goa chief minister said that the state government had given up on the Skybus project and was looking for alternative infrastructures. The Skybus monorail system was the best answer for the traffic congestions in Goa city which was supposed to be developed by the Konkan Railway.Increasing tourist population in Goa city has caused major traffic congestions in the city hence to overcome this issue Konkan Railway had come up with a Skybus Metro project. The development of Skybus monorail initially got clearance in 2001 under which it was scheduled to be developed in eight megacities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.Goa is the only state which has worked on development of the Skybus monorail to solve the congestion issues of the city. After the failure of the first test run of Skybus, ministry of urban development of Goa formed a technical Advisory Group to analyze the situation. The group submitted its report last year which included government officials and officers from Konkan railway. After the analysis of this report, the central government has finally given permission to the re-launch of Skybus Monorail project in the city of Goa.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
