Thomas Cook Selling their South-Mumbai Office Property

It is a part of consolidation of the company’s workplaces.According to the MD of Thomas Cook, their company constantly optimizes and consolidates the office spaces. The company is searching for an alternative location as their Nariman point back office offers limited scope in case of business growth and expansion plans. He also added that the move will give a chance to the company to explore new potential in this field and also the new office in the major booming micro markets in proximity to the customers.Thomas Cook’s South Mumbai office space is fully-furnished and is close to the esteemed Oberoi and Trident hotels. The premise is approximately of 10,591 sq ft carpet space (958 sq mtr).According to a recent report, office spaces in prime areas of Mumbai are quite costlier than other major cities. In any prime location of Mumbai, the office space would cost something around Rs. 21,000 and Rs .30, 000 per sq ft whereas in cities like Hyderabad the office space price would range between Rs 5,500-6,000 per sq ft, Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 6,000 per sq ft in Pune, in Kolkata it would range around Rs. 18,000 while in Delhi the property would cost around Rs. 31,500. Thomas Cook’s south Mumbai is expected to gain around Rs. 23 crore to Rs. 32 crore.The company is said to possess around 32 properties across India out of which over 60,000 sq ft and 43,000 sq ft area is owned in Mumbai and Delhi respectively.
