Mumbai: ASK property investment advisors, a private equity firm has decided to invest up to Rs 500 crore by the end of this fiscal year. The Company will most probably invest about Rs 100-150 crore in each project.The company has already invested in an Indian real estate market by raising two funds with Rs 350 crore and Rs 1000 crore in 2009 and 2011-12 respectively. Other than this, it has also invested up to 800 crore each in 12 projects across various cities. Recently, the company has invested Rs 147 crore in a housing project by the ATS group.The investment will majorly spread across five cities- Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Projects developed under this investment will belong to the mid segment residential schemes.ASK investment Mangers, CEO and Managing Director Sunil Rohokale said that company is positive about India’s real estate market. Investment of any scale dedicated to the mid-income residential scheme is assured of better returns in the long run.“We are having discussions with several developers for projects in Chennai, Pune and Delhi and most of the deals will be closed by the December,” Rohokale said. He also added, “We don’t want to invest in other locations at this moment as these cities have great residential real estate potential, though the economic environment is tough.”The company has already invested in ATS group’s Noida project with returns worth 2.45 times the original investment.
