In Gurgaon and Mumbai, sales in the June quarter remained very low. Blame the fewer launches, slow approvals and average demand (due to high prices) for the result of subdued sales. On the contrary, Bangalore is witnessing some bright light with strong sales mainly due to fresh launches.Liquidity problem and low sales have gripped the neck of real estate sector of India from around two years. This has forced many developers to take solid and bitter steps to improve their accounts. But now a new crisis is standing in front of them. It’s the April-September season which remains low for realty sales. It seems only after crossing this hurdle when the festival season starts, some relief is expected because generally sales remain high in those auspicious days.In NCR region, sales are low because of high prices and lower demands while in Mumbai only selected projects are getting sold, however the overall market stays lethargic. Even for the India’s second largest developer, Oberoi Realty Ltd whose reports are mostly positive is not protected from this blow. It is totally possible that their sales will decline.However Sobha Developers and Prestige estates Projects Ltd. of Bangalore may not have performed excessively well but much better than their Mumbai and NCR counterparts.
