CREDAI-nashikNashik: When a developers needs to get the projects sanctioned from the state government then apart from usual procedure, they also have to pay one percent of the total project cost in the name of labour cess. CREDAI Nashik has appealed to the state authority to give training to the labourers from the fund that has been made from collecting labour cess. It is necessary that this amount should be used by the authority to deliver skill development training to the labourers such that they will pick up the new trends of construction.CREDAI Andhra Pradesh has been successful in the motive of imparting training to its labourers using the revenue collected as labour cess. Following the pattern, CREDAI Nashik is planning to meet the minister of labour to discuss the need of imparting the training and appeal to use the revenue for training.The major requirement of the present appeal is to produce efficient and skilled manpower that can live up to the expectations of the high-end construction industry. CREDAI is continuously analyzing the demand of skilled workforce in the country and hopes to deliver training to almost 10,000 labourers in a year, if everything goes smooth.Boosting the productivity of construction labourers is highly important to match the global standards.
