Here ISKCON stands for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. This popular religious destination is situated near Juhu Beach in Mumbai. The other names for ISKCON temple are Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Radha Rasabihariji. The land on which the temple is built was once jungle but later on it was given to ISKCON foundation to build the temple in the year 1971. The land which is known as Hare Krishna land is spread on four acres of area. It took seven years to construct the temple and finally on 14th January 1978 the temple was inaugurated.This temple was the dream of Swami Shri Prabhupada and soon his dream materialised in the form of beautiful ISKCON temple of Mumbai.
