Indore: There are around 200 properties that have been kept locked in the circle of the Indore Development Authority (IDA) majorly for sale to the people who come in reserved categories like SC/ST, freedom fighters etc. The authority is planning to allow the sale of these properties to the general category such that an additional of Rs 300-400 crore can be gained which can be used in the infrastructural development of the city.The reason that kept these properties uninhabited is the weak interest shown by the reserved categories to buy them. Regardless of many such rounds, very few have come up to grab the properties. Thus the government is thinking to revamp the rules (Vyayan Nima) such that the properties can not only be sold to the reserved ones but also to the general public.Various plots that are very big in size are resting dusted AND haven’t received any bidders, so it is highly important now for the authority to sell them as quick as possible to get rid of unnecessary burden and waste.
